Maryam (a neonatal nurse practitioner) obtained her higher education degrees, MSN (2012) in the field of Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS). The course covered a comprehensive range of topics including ethics, anatomy, nutrition, pathophysiology, Advanced Neonatal Nursing Care, pharmacology, and management. These gave her an in-depth knowledge and appreciation of this testing but rewarding profession. The valuable experience she gained since graduation provided Maryam with ample opportunity in not only realizing how important this angle-like profession is but also understanding and valuing the sense of responsibility that goes with it. The CGFNS certificate which she secured from USA is token indication of her dedication and commitment to the profession.

Academically, Maryam has constantly scored high marks during her studies and was duly awarded certifications to signify her academic achievements. Her interest primarily remained in nursing and neonatal critical care and for this reason she is very keen to further her skills so that she is able to further the cause of this profession. Maryam likes team work; can also lead; functions well under pressure and in delivering tasks and fulfilling responsibilities. Outside her professional and scientific interests, she is also a keen mountaineer with interest in poetry and literature. Maryam is conversant in English and French.
